Exclude 14 days quarantine when returning to UK from Balearic and Canary Islands
The FCO advises against all but essential travel to mainland Spain but not for the Balearics and Canary Islands, implying it is safe to go to these destinations. If it is classed as “safe” to travel here then what is the reason behind imposing the 2 week quarantine rule on return the UK?
Don’t make the islands suffer any more than they already have. Their economy relies on tourists supporting restaurants, bars and local attractions and by putting this measure in place, we are jeopardising the islands chance of economic recovery. The infection rate and R number is lower than the UK meaning that there is no greater risk on travelling there.
