Petition Action

Stop convicted sex offenders changing their names by depol

Petition Details

We would like to stop convicted sex offenders having the ability to change their name by depol in order to slip through the net and have the chance to reoffend.
This is to ensure the safeguarding of children.

Additional Information

Convicted sex offenders need to be monitored to keep the public safe.
Also to avoid them taking up employment positions to be around children and vulnerable people.
We need to prevent future risk of harm.
