UK GOVERNMENT: Don't list calories on menus

Petition Details

Stop calorie labelling on UK menus. When the government announced the proposals two years ago, eating disorder recovery charity Beat said that “evidence shows that calorie labelling exacerbates eating disorders of all kinds,”

Additional Information

Boris Johnson’s government plans to introduce legislation forcing restaurants and cafes with over 250 employees to put calorie counts on their menus. Calorie labelling on menus has been branded 'dangerous' and 'disappointing' by eating disorder campaigners. I think it's really negligent and I'm really angry about it," said Alice Cachia,.(Credit:Manchester Evening News)
