Retract the changes for calories to be displayed on menus
The government have recently decided to add calorific values to the food labels in cafes restaurants and takeaways. I would like them to retract this
I am concerned for how this may impact those suffering from eating disorders and possibly worsen the increasing ill mental health our society already faces. It can predicted that 4 million of us suffer from an eating disorder in our lifetime , but only 1.6 million speak up and receive help. A strategy such as this one , could potentially be effecting millions of people who already have a negative relationship with food. Whilst healthy eating should be educated, this is not the way to do it.
