Plant 1 tree for all those who died as a result of COVID-19 in the UK.
Plant 1 tree for all those who died as a result of COVID-19 in the UK at a single suitable site ideally in the geographical centre of the UK. This to act as a symbol of unity, loss and remembrance. Such a space will reflect the size of the tragedy in a non-invasive physical way.
The centre of which a non-denominational memorial or artwork would draw visitors to a place of contemplation. Ideally, a tribute to the NHS and separately other key-workers could be at the entrance and exit or other suitable location on site, plus a history of the pandemic and how visitors might be able to contribute funds for upkeep of the site and appropriate charitable donations to assist in any such future pandemic, be it in funding research or preparedness.
