I want you to allow people in council flats to be aloud pets with in reason
I would like you to scrap section 5.11 animals as it’s not fair and it’s not right people in flats can look after a animal just as well if not better than someone with a garden it’s discrimination! And as probably half the uk suffer with mental health and loneliness studys show having a pet helps
Having a pet gives people a purpose and a routine and significantly reduces suicide and gets people out and active in the community pets can reduce anxiety and stress pets are a key tool for people with mental health and as long as people take care of them accordingly then anybody should be aloud one! No more discrimination

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There is no national law against social housing tenants having pets. This would be a matter for individual local authorities.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Prevent discrimination of tenants or potential tenants with pets: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/315909
