Stop the mandatory calorie counter on food and drinks bought in restaurants
Stop the mandatory requirement for calorie counters to be placed on all food and drinks purchased in restaurants, cafes and bars.
The likelihood of a calorie counter on all food and drinks impacting the people it is aimed at is far lower than those who live with eating disorders, body image issues and obsessive behaviours when it comes to calorie counting. A calorie counter will teach people to judge food based on numbers not it’s nutritional value. It will also make the every day struggle people with mental health issues based around food and eating far more difficult to deal with. This law will do more damage than good.
