Voters feel divorced from Politics as they see large organisations buying influence, £50,000 to have lunch with the Prime Minister for example. The Banking crisis, and Murdoch affair show how too much influence undermines Democracy.
Democracy only works if the voters are more powerful than those buying influence and elections are once every 5 years.
The reform would ban all Political Donations from Companies or T.U.s, only registered voters could donate. Each voter would be credited by the state with £1 to donate each year.You could withold your £1 if you wished. This would cost less than £46 million pounds a year, the amount The Conservative Party raised in 2010, a small price for Democracy and ending slease
