Make the teaching of sexual consent compulsory in schools
Rape, sexual abuse and harassment are prevalent issues effecting our society.
More needs to be done to tackle these issues. Children need to be taught what constitutes consentual sex and what actions are considered sexual abuse and harassment as part of the compulsory national curriculum.
The teaching of consent in schools is currently not compulsory.
85,000 women and 12,000 men are raped in England and Wales alone every year.
1 in 5 women aged 16 - 59 has experienced some form of sexual violence since.
