Bring back the nutritional standard for school meals to help combat obesity.
Bring back the nutritional standard for school meals to combat obesity and encourage healthy eating. The nutritional standard will make sure children across the country are eating healthily as some may not be able to afford to at home.
We want the government to bring back the nutritional standard as part of their plans to tackle obesity in the UK. We believe it is vital for keeping the children of Britain healthy.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Compliance with the School Food Standards is mandatory for all maintained schools. These standards are set out in legislation, which you can view here: www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/1603/contents/made
The Government publishes guidance on school food in England, which you can view here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/788884/School-food-in-England-April2019-FINAL.pdf
If you want the Government to change the School Food Standards we could accept a petition about this, but you would need to be clear how you wanted the standards to be changed.
