Recognise Alan Turing with a knighthood Posthumously.
The Government should recognise Alan Turing’s contribution to this country and the allied war effort by giving him a knighthood posthumously.
A great wrong was done with a great man as he was persecuted for being a gay. He was never recognised while alive for all his efforts to support UK and Allied war effort. We wouldn’t have won the Second World War without him.

The Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
The only honours which can be awarded after someone’s death are gallantry awards, which you can find out about here: www.gov.uk/honours/recommend-bravery-award
