Allow all pet owners to be with their pets when they cross the rainbow bridge
I want to allow all pet owners to be given the opportunity to be with their pets when the time comes to put them to sleep
i had to have my dog of 13yrs put to sleep and had to say goodbye to him in the carpark of the vets practice. I paid £300 to do this and was given the option of paying and extra £60 (which i had to decline due to funds) so he'd be sleeping when he went into the building, only to find out that i had already paid for this injection in the cost of the euthanasia. Nobody should have to say goodbye to their loyal pet in a carpark and then have them taken away to be put to sleep because of cost

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. Please accept our condolences.
Unfortunately, we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a matter for individual veterinary practices.
