Online influencers declare baby photos are staged
Online parenting influencers often set up photos of babies in dangerous settings (such as a cot full of dangerous items) which leads viewers to think the setting is safe as it looks nice thus adding to infant death statistics. It goes against the Lullaby Trusts message of a safe cot is an empty cot.
I would like influencers to add some sort of text or signage similar to sponsorship stating the photo is staged for aesthetic purposes, and possibly introducing fines as these images do not help educate caregivers on safe sleep spaces as well as contribute to infant death.

Setting standards for social media content is a matter for individual social media platforms, not the Government or House of Commons.
If social media content shows someone endangering a child this should be reported to the police or social services.
