Extend Financial Support for Sectors Unable to Return to Work due to COVID-19
Industries, such as music & performance, are not permitted to work at all due to COVID-19.
The arts sector have been given £1.57 billion. This supports the venues. Performers & musicians are not employed by the venues.Venues need the artists. These individuals will have no support after 31 October.
This is one sector who cannot function at all. Venues have nothing without their artists and performers. The government have responded to ensure money has been given to the venues who would without assistance, close their doors. However, with the artists being sub-contracted, self-employed or owning their own businessess, their financial support comes from the individual financial schemes that are due to come to an end on 31st October. Please extend this or lose the talent of this country.
