Greater punishments for anyone committing acts of animal cruelty
An urgent review is needed into the current sentences given to offenders who commit acts of animal cruelty, including animal theft, torture and neglect.
Sentences for cruelty against both domestic and wild animals needs to be tougher in order to prevent future acts taking place.
Animals have no voice, the UK Government needs to be that voice and acts of cruelty against animals will simply not be tolerated in our society.
Improving investigations, increasing funding and lengthy prison sentences are needed to put an end to animal cruelty for good. The offenders have got off lightly in the past. How about a 10 year prison sentence for animal cruelty acts, 10 year prison sentence for animal theft. They cannot keep getting away with it, their acts need to have consequences!
