Allow 16-18 year olds to be under children’s medical care in the NHS
16-18 year olds are considered adults in the NHS and are treated in adult wards. At 16 you are still a child, until you are legally allowed to vote etc you should still be under children’s medical care. It is wrong to force children to have to be in an adult ward when they are not adults.
Allow 16-18 year olds to attend children’s hospitals and stay on children’s wards. Additionally allow their parents the same rights the other children’s have (staying with them during their stay etc)

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
How NHS services are provided to different age groups is an operational decision for individual NHS trusts, not the Government or House of Commons.
