Petition Action

I would like the British Government to raise the issue of barbaric bile farming

Petition Details

I would like the British government to bring the issue of bear bile farms up with any country that does this horrible thing when discussing trade deals

Additional Information

Demand for bear bile products comes mainly from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Taiwan. The products are also found in a number of other countries including, but not limited to, Australia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, the US and Canada. Bears are taken from the wild as cubs and see their mothers killed. Bears are held in held in captivity on farms and “milked” regularly for their bile, which is used in traditional medicine.
