Reward NHS nurses and care workers and reduce bureaucracy

Petition Details

A pay rise next year already planned and due is a disgrace to give as an offer of pay reward to the nurses and care workers who were the most front line in caring for patients. Also many giving up their lives

Additional Information

A pay rise next year already planned and already due is a disgrace to pretend this is a reward for the work nurses and care workers who were front line during this extremely difficult and dangerous time of the epidemic. Teachers and others have been given extra but not nurses.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign some of these petitions:

Increase pay for NHS healthcare workers and recognise their work: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300073

Pay rise for NHS and care staff: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/313488

It's not clear what you mean by asking the Government to reduce bureaucracy, and we can't accept petitions making requests about things that are operational decisions for the NHS.
