In the 21st Century where Defendant's, Lawyers & Judges' every move is recorded and transcribed, should the Jury's conduct also be recorded in the same way.

In the event of Jury irregularities.

Especially if they are audio recordings available in the jury room so as to ensure a fair trial.

Additional Information

where a jury irregularity arises. and what happens if it takes place during or after the trial (ie post verdict) and considers the extent to which an appeal against a conviction can be based on irregularity in the juries’ deliberations such as the failure to follow directions or adhere to their oath. EWCA Crime 1567 Queen’s Bench Division (QBD). It also explains how certain irregularities may also constitute specific juror offences under the Juries Act 1974 and contempt of court.
