Petition Action

Help out of school and extra-curricular club providers bounce back from Covid-19

Petition Details

#ClubTogether - An initiative supported by central government to offer financial assistance to struggling, out of school and extra-curricular activity providers severely impacted by Covid-19. Much like the ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme, parents and children need help to return to sport safely.

Additional Information

The fallout from Covid-19 on children’s health and fitness cannot be understated. With guidance unclear and schools and vendors making their own decisions on how and when to bring clubs and sport back, companies and individuals offering activities for children in these settings are at risk of complete financial ruin. I want government to agree to either partially subsidise (up to 50% and no more than £25 per child) spaces for children or request schools fund this via their sports budget.
