Provide aid to Mauritius after MV Wakashio ran aground and began leaking oil.
MV Wakashio ran aground off the coast of Mauritius and began leaking oil. This poses an existenial environmental threat to the area and the way of life of the Mauritian people. The Department of International Development must provide assistance immediately.
The United Kingdom Government must heed the calls of Mauritius and provide relief to avert this catastrophe. By not taking action it will set a dangerous precedent.
