Petition Action

A referendum to call a genral election

Additional Information

A referendum to call a genral election.
I have no confidence, faith or trust in this government as many of it's election pledges and promises have been broken and replaced with policies that we did not vote for.
We did not vote for these policies which are being forced through, eg. NHS changes, the increase in VAT, the higher prescripition charges, the higher taxes for middle income earners, the sky high fuel duty, the pasty tax, the pensioners tax and the lowering taxes for high rate earners, like most members of the cabinet, bank bosses and the super rich.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
