Ballot box lottery

Additional Information

Voting in council or parliamentary elections would automatically enter each citizen in a state-run lottery offering a range of cash prizes. This would encourage more people to vote and to take an interest in democratic politics. The ballot box lottery could be funded by unclaimed prizes from the existing National Lottery.
