Give a London Marathon official medal to ALL finishers
The Government should ask the London Marathon to award medals to all finishers who complete the course, regardless of whether they finish on the day of the event or not.
Claire Lomas is currently (on 3rd May) half-way round the London Marathon route in a bionic suit in aid of spinal research. According to news reports she will not receive an official medal, because the rules on this changed last year to only award medals to finishers on the day.
The rules should be changed back and inspirational people like Claire should be fully rewarded for their efforts by getting an official finishers medal.
