Given that voting on television talent shows seems to give a lot of votes, the opportunity to apply this to other means should not be ignored.

Most people have a basic mobile phone and registering your phone with the electoral commission to be able to vote at any election at either a national or local level would bring about a more cost effective, time saving and environmentally friendly way for people to show their support for their candidate.

What can be easier than texting your electoral number and candidate letter eg 'CHB1234 B' to a predetermined number.
