carers (identification and support) bill reintroduction
As carers provide a free service for those who are ill, or in need of care, these people should be provided with advice on where to seek help to prevent their own health suffering as a result of the caring task.
Such provision was to be included in the Carers (Identification and Support) bill, which has recently been stopped from proceeding by parliament. The bill was introduced by Rt Hon Barbara Keeley.
The care covers that provided for mental health, chronic and short term illnesses, and also for permanent disabilities. These people save the country countless millions at the expense of their own mental and physical well being.
The act is to be re-introduced at the stage it had previously reached, and be allowed to reach the statute book.
