Petition Action

Unemployed under 30 yrs old to do work experience for their benefits

Additional Information

The government have recently abandoned their drive to get young unemployed people to get work experience or risk losing their benefits. This petition demands that the government publish the average annual expenditure from all sources on a single unemployed person supported by the state (including housing benefits, council tax rebate, decorating grants etc) and to oblige all unemployed persons under the age of 30 to carry out work experience in exchange for those benefits.
