ID for 16 Year Olds
I would like to see ID for 16 Year olds be made standard.
Currently various institutions like banks, the passport office, delivery companies, DWP etc. are permitted to ask 16 year olds for forms of ID that they would not by law be permitted to hold.
Credit cards is one example of this.
16 year olds currently fall into "no mans land" because some institutions see them still as a child, in which case parental permission can still be provided, but others see them as adults in which case parental permission will not be accepted.
In many scenarios this leaves them unable to obtain what they need e.g. bank account, passport etc.
This loophole needs to be closed.
