Stop Buzzards nest being destroyed to save Pheasants
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is to spend up to £375,000 researching ways to keep buzzards from targeting captive-reared pheasants, which are not native to the UK.
Buzzards are a protected species yet the Govement want to destroy their nests and capture the birds to stop them eating the Pheasant which are not indigenous and are captive bred solely for the purpose of organised profit making shoots.
Why should the public pay and the Buzzards suffer to protect the Landowners profits.
