Bring back the British Empire Medal

The British honours system recognises the achievements of a couple of thousand people per year. However at present the least prestigious award, the MBE still has a pretty high threshold for who can achieve it.

We, the people therefore petition Her Majesty's government, to ask Her Majesty to consider reintroducing the British Empire Medal as an honour below the rank of the MBE in order to recognise the service and achievement of people whose achievements fall slightly below that of the MBE.
