Abolish School Prayer
School prayer violates the UDHR's Art. 18; "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion..."
Through enforcing school prayer by Sec. 20, School Standards and Framework Act '98 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/31/enacted) - "each pupil in attendance at a community, foundation or voluntary school shall on each school day take part in an act of collective worship" of "a broadly Christian character" - the DoE ignores pupils' human rights; who, under sec. 21, require parental request to opt out, rather than choosing individually.
While 80% of schools don't practive school prayer, according to this OFSTED report (http://www.archive2.official-documents.co.uk/document/deps/ofsted/170/05-secondary.html) - "Four fifths of schools do not hold a daily act of collective worship for all pupils." - the legal obligation of schools to do so violates basic rights.
School prayer must be abolished.
