Eric Patrick Clapton is a fearless innovator and virtuoso who's musical contributions are outstanding, his longevity of career, dedication to his craft and innate determination to stick to his principles are an inspiration to countless peers and fans.

His work with charity organisations both at home and abroad are extensive and varied for example his participation in the Philadelphia Live Aid Concert , his many performances for the Princes trust and his founding of the crossroads rehabilitation centre which he has raised and exhausted millions on, for the benefit of others.

And finally Clapton is a great representative of Britain abroad. playing for Royalty and Presidents and that is why I humbly believe that no one deserves the honour of Knighthood more.
