Eric Clapton Should Receive a Knighthood
I thoroughly believe that due to his musical virtuosity, his longevity of career and his dedication to his chosen medium ; which not only inspires peers and fans a like. that Eric Patrick Clapton should have his name and the subject of his receiving a knighthood be put forward for debate in the House of Commons.
I would like to further strengthen my case by alluding to the notable and varied charity work which the afore mentioned Clapton has been a major part of for many years for example his participation in the 1985 Live Aid Concert, his various performances in aid of the Princes Trust and of course his part in the founding of Crossroads Antigua his rehabilitation centre which he has been tireless in raising both awareness and millions of pounds for.
