Financial and English language changes to family settlement visa
The government has tightend up on immigration of non eu migrannts by setting a minimum wage for the uk partner. This disciminates against those on low wages that are still in a position to support their spouse.
They have also asked for a much higher standard of english language than is current. The level asked for is far higher than is really necessary to be able to integrate in the comunity and work.
The goverment should have left the legislation as it was as this was sufficient to ensure that non eu migrants would be adequatly supported and able to integrate in the uk.
