Petition Action

Penalty for promising something to obtain public office

Additional Information

It should be made an offence to make promises which are subsequently reneged upon to obtain public office. This offence should be punishable by removal from office if the none adherence cannot be justified to the group to which the promise was made.

The government should create laws which prevent people from making offers and promises they have no intention of keeping once elected.
