Protect Ingleborough Road Memorial Playing Field From Housing Development
This historic playing field and pavilion in Birkenhead was dedicated as a living memorial to old boys from the Birkenhead Institute who died in the First World War - including famous poet Wilfred Owen.
The field was sold off by Wirral Council and is now the subject of a planning application to build houses.
We want this field to be protected from development and returned to its original use as a sports field and living memorial to our fallen heroes.
