Do not disband 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards)
We want the government to look at the new Army 2020 review which goes against the PM's words of "No military history will be lost."
This is one of the greatest Battalions of all and one of the highest recuriters (due to it being a high unemployment area in civilian street) in the British Army.
We believe that the government and the MOD should keep the 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards) and look at cutting the Royal Regiment of Scotland (which is renound for its poor recruiting form) from 5 Battalions down to 3.
If the 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards) does get disbanded and merged with 1 Yorks and 3 Yorks (like announced today), not only will it have a massively negative impact on families but on the soldiers from the area too, increasing on already high unemployment figures from the redundancies but impacting on the soldiers morale which is currently at an all time low due to this.
