MAKE A PUBLIC STATEMENT to explain why we are not losing proportionate numbers of MPs and Lords in line with other cuts.
The cost of MPs and Lords is a cost to the taxpayer, who is being told that services and the number of public employees MUST be cut to save money. Why is it, then, that MPs and Lords - who are a HUGE drain on the public purse - are not being sacked in the same proportion as other public employees, to save money. WE ARE, NEVER FORGET, ALL IN THIS TOGETHER (your words, NOT ours) - but not if you hjappen to be an MP or a member of the House of Lords! WE NEED TO BE TOLD WHY THIS IS!
