Petition Action

Minimum Wage for MPs

Additional Information

Campaign to get the Government to pass legislation/have a referendum for all MPs to be on minimum wages + necessary expenses, only.

This would achieve 4 aims:

1) Filter out all MPs that sign up to the job for reasons other than helping to better the nation and its communities.

2) Would help legislators find out for themselves whether or not the minimum wage is high enough.

3) Would help cut the deficit and potentially save jobs.

4) Would help ensure that taxpayers' money isn't going towards duck houses and the sorts.

*****

With regards to MP second homes, a discussion about an MPs halls of residence in London should take place.
