Save Royal Brompton Hospital's Children's Services and vital research

Additional Information

Sponsored by The Brompton Fountain, Family Support Charity.
On 4th July 2012 the Joint Committee of Primary Care Trusts approved a plan to remove children’s heart surgery from Royal Brompton Hospital.
Stopping children’s heart surgery will result in the closure of the hospital’s paediatric intensive care unit meaning that children with severe respiratory conditions will be unable to receive the specialist treatments and care they need. It will also have serious adverse effects on internationally important research taking place at the hospital, including Europe’s leading research programme for cystic fibrosis.
Royal Brompton Hospital is a world renowned centre of excellence and is known for its first class care, treatments research and highly skilled teams that have taken years to build.
We are asking the government to prevent the destruction of children's cardiac and respiratory services at Royal Brompton Hospital.
