Redefining what marriage is
The deputy prime minister.
They want to ask the House of Commons to vote for a radically new definition of marriage,so as to admit any
union outside the usual one, i.e. between a man and a woman. For example, by labelling the candidates for such a new union, progenitors instead of husband and wife.
