Call for the Health Minister, Andrew Lansley to resign
The Safe and Sustainable review of Children's Cardiac Surgical Services has been concluded. Option B was chosen despite public opinion of 60% favouring Option A.By choosing option B Children's cardiac centres in Leicester, Leeds and the Brompton will close. By doing this Mr Lansley has signed without giving sufficient time for objections to be registered and for an independent enquiry to be called. The decision is not based on the the correct information and his actions are placing children's lives at risk. We call for his resignation in light of this decision.
