Pay the £57 Million G4S ‘Management Fee’ to the Troops instead

The Government should not pay £57 Million to G4S as a ‘Management Fee’ - instead they should use money to give a tax free Thank You bonus to the armed services personnel securing the Olympics.

Service personnel from all branches of the military have stepped in at the last minute to cover the failings of G4S to properly fulfill their contracts relating to Olympic security.

To do this work many people have had to cancel leave with the families, some have only just come back from tours of duty abroad and worse still others have recently learnt that they could be losing their jobs.

This will show the Nation's appreciation and gratitude to our armed forces and our respect for their professionalism.

Any member of the armed services involved in Olympic work should receive the same amount as a tax free bonus irrespective of rank.
