Petition Action

Jim Emery - Save His Job & Save His Home

Additional Information

After 48 years serving the council, as Superintendent at Hollybrook Cemetery, Mr Jim Emery has now been given notice of redundancy, with only 2 years remaining before he is due to officially retire.
If this was not bad enough, he has been given notice on his council home to vacate by 05th October 2012 where he lives with his wife Lorayne, and which has been the family home where the children grew up from, and they have paid rent on this property.
How can anyone who has served the community for 48 years be treated this way?
In conjunction with a petition organised by his daughter Lisa, will be presented to Council Bosses,
Southampton Echo are informed and discussions are taking place for them to support our appeal.
We are asking that, Jim Every be allowed to continue his service for the remaining two years, and be allowed to remain in his home.
