DOUBLE YELLOW LINES COULD SAVE A LIFE

Additional Information

As some of you may be aware, on the 17th of July 2012, our dear friend Amir Mustafa Mohyuddin was tragically taken from us after crashing a motorbike on the bridge which runs over the Silk Stream.

After independently investigating the cause of his tragic death, friends and neighbours have concluded that his death could have been avoided if certain restrictions had been put in place.

As a result of our investigations, we, the undersigned, call on Barnet Council to put in place on the inside bend of the crossway double yellow lines, so to deter people from parking along the inside bend.

The reason why we are proposing this is to avoid the road becoming too narrow, and also to avoid creating a blind corner.

The tragic loss of our friend Amir is the result of this blind corner and we would be grateful if you, the council, would act upon our plea in order to avoid another tragic loss or accident.
