Ban anonymous sms marketing
There is a large number of companies now using SMS to market their services, usually causing a nuisance to the recipients. These texts are sent anonymously and the numbers are not normally traceable on the internet. This petition is intended to force the companies using this marketing method to identify themselves in the messages whether in the UK, another country or using an agency of another country.
Texts cannot be stopped by the Telephone Preference Service.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
