Keep the gold post boxes - permanently.
The gold-painted post boxes dotted around UK streets that celebrate an Olympic gold medal at London 2012 will be repainted back to red "in due course" (source Geraint Thomas' twitter feed comment by @Royalmailnews twitter id, 10th August 2012),
This e-petition calls on HMG to apply whatever pressure necessary to persuade Royal Mail to permanently keep the boxes painted gold.
As well as being a source of national pride, not just for the athletes, but also local residents and visitors, if kept golden they could help to inspire all future generations (and not just this one) to take up a sport.
Lets celebrate and remember the achievements of all those involved in London 2012, permanently, by keeping the boxes gold!
