Stop rail fare rises 2013
We urge the Transport Secretary to halt her plan to increase rail fares by 6.2% in January, bringing the total increases introduced by the Coalition to approximately 18%.
The latest increase is twice the annual increase in the cost of living and three times the average increase in wages.
At a time of squeezed family budgets, this is placing an unfair burden on rail passengers, particularly those who have to commute to get to work.
