Reason: They historically are NOT ruled by the Han Chinese ethnic group and they were independent countries in ancient times.
What the UK Government should do: Tell the world and all UK citizens that whole Tibet, East Turkestan, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Ningxia and Canton were independent countries in ancient times and They historically are NOT ruled by the Han Chinese ethnic group. China is spreading sophistry.
