THAT THE GOVERMENT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE DUE PROCESS OF COMPETITIVE TENDERING
WE HAVE A SITUATION WHERE THE RECENT FRANCHISE FOR THE WEST COAST TRAIN SERVICES WAS PUT OUT TO TENDER FOLLOWING THE END OF THE PREVIOUS CONTRACT.THE CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS HAD BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL PARTICIPENTS IN THE TENDER PROCESS.
THE WINNING COMPANY HAD NOT ONLY MADE THE BIGGEST BID, IN THE FORM OF VALUE BUT HAS PRESUMABLY FULLFILLED ALL THE CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS, THIS HAS RESULTED IN THIS COMPANY, RIGHTLY, BEING AWARDED THE CONTRACT.
WE CALL ON THE GOVERMENT NOT TO INTERFERE IN THIS OR ANY OTHER TENDERING PROCESS AND ALLOW CONTRACTS
TO BE AWARDED AS THE TENDERING PROCESS ALLOWS.
THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS IS IF THERE IS ANY EVIDENCE THAT THE PROCESS HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTLY CONDUCTED, THIS OF COURSE WOULD BE ILLEGAL.
WE CANNOT HAVE HIGH PROFILE BUSINESS PERSONNEL TRYING TO PRESSURISE THE GOVERMENT TO CHANGE TENDER PROCESS DECISIONS. IT IS GROSSLY UNFAIR AND WILL, IN THE END, RESULT IN COMPANIES NOT BIDDING.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
